Emseal, A Sika Company, is a manufacturer of premium sealants and expansion joint systems for the commercial construction industry and many specialty market applications.

We are looking for an Inside Technical Sales Representative to join our Architectural Division in Westborough, MA. As a key member of the Inside technical team, this individual will provide tailored support to architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors throughout the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for helping customers find the right product solution, get the technical answers they need, and ultimately close deals. This position will work closely with the regional sales team and internal departments including Engineering, Estimating, Manufacturing, and Customer Service in order to manage product selection, quoting, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction from project start to finish.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the go-to technical resource for assigned territory, supporting customers from concept through installation.
  • Analyze architectural plans, blueprints, and sketches to identify field conditions and advise on appropriate product solutions.
  • Work with CAD engineers to translate field conditions into accurate submittal and shop drawings.
  • Generate quotes, coordinate pricing with regional sales, and negotiate terms with multiple bidders.
  • Evaluate technical requirements such as movement tolerances, vehicle loading, hydrostatic pressure, and chemical compatibility to match products to real-world conditions.
  • Manage ongoing orders with manufacturing to ensure accurate fulfillment and on-time delivery.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve complaints alongside regional sales to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Provide installation guidance and product training via phone, online chat, and webinars.
  • Promote Emseal solutions by clearly articulating their benefits to potential users.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to suggest product improvements and identify opportunities in new markets.

Preferred Skills

  • Engineering, Architecture or related degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years’ relevant technical sales experience.
  • Strong multi-tasking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of building systems, construction methods, or technical product sales.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and communicate technical details clearly.
  • Comfortable working across departments and with diverse customers—engineers, architects, contractors, and reps.
  • Self-motivated with a team-first attitude.
